EMDR is an abbreviation for Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing!
I received extensive training for EMDR therapy at the EMDR Institute which was founded by the original developer of this incredible therapy approach!
My clients, colleagues, & I have been consistently amazed at how much faster we can get to the origin of the belief system, memory, and/or trauma than with traditional talk therapy approaches so I can get my clients freedom. faster!
EMDR was originally developed for veterans experiencing PTSD in the 80's. but since then, it has been used successfully to help with many conditions & symptoms such as worry, shame, performance anxiety, OCD, depression, & lots more.
Research (& my experience) has shown that EMDR can eliminate the distressing "material" stored in the mind/body in one to just a few sessions.
We can utilize this approach both in- person & virtually & can even use within a family or couples session!
